THE DUGOUT
👋 - So, with Ruud van Nistelrooy gone, Leicester are starting their search for a new manager. And that man could well be Danny Rohl, with Mail Online reporting that the German has already told Sheffield Wednesday he is leaving the club. Talks have been held between the two clubs.
👀 - But it might not be so straightforward, Mail Online also reports that Rohl is of interest to Brentford, who want to appoint him as an assistant to new boss Keith Andrews.
⏰ - Whoever the next manager might be, Leicester need to get a move on. The Athletic [paywall] have released an excellent piece from Jordan Halford suggesting that the delay will only cause more issues next season.
🆙 - And while there is work to do, Rohl already has the thumbs up from Lee Hendrie, who has backed him to get Leicester promoted back to the Premier League.
Speaking to Football League World, he said: "Yeah, Danny Rohl, I think Leicester should go for him. I really do.
"I think he is a very good manager. He has proved that he can do it at this level, even with a side on a very minimal budget.
"I think Leicester will be strong this season. They have got a good squad of players, and I am sure they will add to that as well.
"Danny Rohl, for me, is a very, very good manager, and I think he can steer them back to the Premier League."
TRANSFERS
😬 - Former Leicester star Daniel Iversen has opened up on the behind-the-scenes ‘carnage’ that eventually saw him seal a move to Championship rivals Preston North End. He was speaking to the Lancashire Post.

🔴 - Leicester could be about to do a couple of bits of business with Nottingham Forest this summer. According to Fabrizio Romano, Forest are eyeing Viktor Kristiansen as a full-back addition, while as per Leicestershire Live, the Foxes are pursuing a loan deal for centre-back David Carmo.
🐈 - Kristiansen is also apparently of interest to Sunderland, as per Tipsbladet, who suggest that Roma's former sporting director Florent Ghisolfi could make a renewed move.
🇳🇬 - Leicester midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has plenty of interest in his services. Turkiye Gazetesi report that Fenerbahce are interested, with sporting director Devin Özek flying to the UK for talks. And Ben Jacobs has revealed that Real Betis, Everton, Man United and Juventus are all also considering the Nigerian.
❌ - It looks like Leicester will not be moving for Soumaila Coulibaly, with Strasbourg set to sign the Borussia Dortmund star as per Fabrizio Romano.
🇪🇸 - Another player that Leicester won’t sign this summer is Deportivo de La Coruña’s Yeremay Hernández, who is set to stay with the Spanish side despite interest from the King Power Stadium.
Speaking to La Provincia, he said: “I’m staying at Dépor because it’s my decision, what I want and longed for. I’ve made it, and that’s the most important thing.”
🔵 - Jamie Vardy and Conor Coady could potentially be teammates at Rangers next season. As per Mail Online, the Scottish giants are keen on both.

🗣️ THE POST HORN GALLOP VIEW:
It’s pre-season already! It feels like it comes around earlier each and every year. Those in the King Power Stadium boardroom probably feel the same.
As it stands, the club still have no manager, which is frankly embarrassing. Yes, Van Nistelrooy had to go, but there should have been at least some forward planning or discussions about his likely successor.
It seems unlikely that Rohl - or any other manager - will be in situ before this weekend’s game against Peterborough United. And that really puts Leicester on the backfoot.
In other news however, I’m looking forward to seeing the results of the Foxes Trust’s end of season survey. Hopefully, it’ll give the club a clearer understanding of just how they’re letting supporters down right now.
