CLUB NEWS
🤝 - We start with some major news from the club’s owners King Power as Aiyawatt "Top" Srivaddhanaprabha steps aside as the corporation’s CEO to become the group executive chairman. He has been replaced by Nitinai Sirismatthakarn. Read more via Money and Banking Online.
❌ - Meanwhile, the Global Travel Retail Magazine report that King Power have submitted a letter to Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited to discuss possible termination of duty-free contracts in FIVE major airports.
💰 - Kinnaird Sports have taken a deep dive into Leicester’s financial results over the past decade and it’s worrying news for the club.
📅 - In football news, Leicester have announced two pre-season friendlies against Peterborough United and OH Leuven to be played at Seagrave on July 5 and July 12 respectively. Get all of the details here.

👋 - Leicester have confirmed the departure of coach Brian Barry-Murphy who has left his role to become the manager of League One side Cardiff City. Read more here.
😬 - Barry-Murphy’s exit comes at a time when Ruud van Nistelrooy’s future remains up in the air. Rob Tanner of The Athletic [paywall] has taken a look at the situation and has suggested that the delay is just causing further anxiety among the fanbase.
TRANSFERS
🇮🇹 - Leicester are reportedly ‘facing a fight’ to keep winger Stephy Mavididi. Football Insider claim that Atalanta, Bologna and Villarreal are all admirers. Corriere della Sera add that Atalanta have been keeping tabs on Mavididi since 2020.
👀 - The Foxes could potentially replace him with Leeds star Sam Greenwood. Mail Online report that Leicester are ‘weighing up’ a move for the forward, with Yorkshire Live suggesting he could cost as little as £1.5m this summer.
🤔 - Luke Thomas has been linked with a move to Real Betis. Infanteria Verdiblanca report the Spanish side’s interest, while revealing a deal could be worth up to £3.4m.
🗣️ - Fellow defender Conor Coady could also be on the way out. Sky Sports report that Rangers have approached Leicester over a move. The Foxes are willing to sell Coady, while his former club Wolves are also interested.
🛑 - But Lee Hendrie has told Leicester and Coady to reconsider after claiming he could be a useful player in the Championship next season. He was speaking to Football League World.
🙏 - Meanwhile, EFL Analysis have revealed that Bilal El Khannouss’ future is dependent on who the new manager could be next season, as well as the calibre of clubs interested in him.
📝 - Reported target Ezekiel Alladoh has broken his silence on a potential move in an interview with Fotbollskanalen and claimed he is ‘not surprised’ at interest in his services.
🆓 - After suggesting five free agents that could help Leicester last week, Leicestershire Live have now followed that up with a list of ALL of the Premier League stars available on free transfers this summer.

🗣️ THE POST HORN GALLOP VIEW:
I’m no business expert but these changes within the heart of King Power suggest there more trouble behind the scenes with the club’s owners than fans are being told.
This could all be normal - but I suspect not. And it could explain why there has been a massive delay in getting their ducks in a row regarding the manager, pre-season and more.
Having said that, it is a relief to see friendlies in the calendar now. And I was a big fan of Leicester’s last pink kit so it’s good news that colour is returning. At least the Foxes will look decent regardless of what happens next season.
And on that topic, it was great to see Leicester return to the Premier League in Wednesday’s leaked list. That joy was however short-lived with the official release. We joke of course. Keep an eye out next week for the Championship fixture list release. We can’t wait…
